Instagram takeover for Type.Today (Feb 2020). Centered on a single editorial thesis: our contradictory relationship with plastic.
Type.Today's takeover brief gives artists one constraint: use their typefaces. I picked a topic that would let the constraint do editorial work about our contradictory relationship with plastic. It's ubiquitous, aesthetically seductive (transparent, flexible, almost any color), and environmentally costly. The copy argued for less plastic, the imagery argued for how hard that actually is.
